Green Promise
As we design our stores and update our stores, Thorntons carefully considers opportunities to help our environment in an effort to Think Green. Below are some of the ways we are helping:
- Fuels -- E85 and Biodiesel
- LED Canopy Lights -- selected Beta LED exterior luminaries for 39 properties and all future renovations
- LED Cooler Lights – installed in all current remodels and future renovations
- Daylight Harvesting - using natural sunlight in our stores which minimizes the use of electric fixtures.
- Recycling Dumpsters -- we help recycle by setting up 2 dumpsters on most of our premises, one allocated for "cardboard" and the other miscellaneous waste
- Eco-friendly Cleaning Products – used internally and externally
- Use of Energy Star Appliances.
