Grand Prize
One (1) grand prize (the "Prize") will be awarded to the participant scoring the highest total number of Sweepstakes points at the end of the tournament. In the event of a tie, see above details of a tie breaker. Grand Prize Winner (the "Prize Winner") will receive FREE GAS FOR A YEAR* from Thorntons Inc.. *(Actual Retail Value of Grand Prize is $2,000 US Dollars.)Prize Details and Restrictions
The “Free Gas for a Year” offer is defined by Thorntons Inc. as follows: Assumes 12,000 total miles driven in the twelve month period following awarding of the Prize at an average fuel economy of 15 gallons per week. For the purpose of the 2012 Thorntons Men’s Basketball Bracket Challenge, an average per gallon price of $3.40 (based on the chain-wide average price on 2/1/2012) is assumed, resulting in a total dollar value of approximately $2,700. The Grand Prize recipient will receive a Thorntons gas card in the amount of $2,700 for purchases only at Thorntons stations. Thorntons is not responsible for making adjustments to the Prize based upon actual gasoline prices. Prize is non-transferable; no substitutions or cash awards allowed. All prize details are at the sole discretion of the Sweepstakes Entities. Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities, their parent companies and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, including Aristotle, their digital advertising agency, and all of their respective employees, directors, officers, shareholders & agents (collectively, "Releases") from any & all claims or liability in connection with participation in this promotion or acceptance or use of the Prize. Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for Administrator and its designees to use the name, address, and likeness of the Prize Winner for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.
